Psychotherapy is a process of counseling in which there is an intentional interpersonal relationship with a trained psychotherapist in order to aid someone with problems they experience in their life. This process is enhanced by a deep listening on the part of the therapist, coupled with an understanding and respect for the individual and their soul’s life purpose.
I am passionate about the utilization of an integrated approach to mental health care with adults which involves several levels:
- various psychotherapy modalities utilizing an eclectic therapeutic approach of different techniques to encourage improvement (EMDR [I am a certified EMDR Therapist], Client-Centered Theory, Ego State Theory, Voice Dialogue, Cognitive-Behavioral, Gestalt Theory, Spiritual Theory)
- an interpersonal level, in which a person becomes whole through healing of the body, mind, spirit, and soul (holistic therapy)
- the health and wellness spectrum in which there is a blending of allopathic (traditional Western medicine) and complementary treatments including nutritional and supplemental resources for wellness and being guided by the Nondual Kabbalistic Healing (NKH certificte) paradigms which encourage total transformation into living a fully human life.
Sometimes that which shows up as depression in a person can be related to psycho-spiritual issues. Drawing from my experiences as a Spiritual Director (certificate), I turn toward religious and spiritual traditions utilizing a contemplative approach. Inspiration from a spiritual perspective is often provided for the complete healing that is required.
Are you living out your life in an integrated way that reflects your life’s purpose? I want to know whether you understand your interior and intuitive self so that you are at peace with your “self.” Are you comfortable with your inner voice in quiet moments? People frequently comment about a genuine, intuitive presence that I bring to sessions so that they feel safe in resolving trauma and other difficulties.
“…that the moment one definitely commits oneself, then providence moves too. All sorts of things occur to help one that would never otherwise have occurred. A whole stream of events issues from the decision, raising in one’s favour all manner of unforeseen incidents, meetings and material assistance which no man [or woman] could have dreamed would have come his [her] way.” -Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
